Call for Abstracts

Submission is now closed

The satellite meeting will be an opportunity for discussing the recent advances in the study of  contagion processes across different scientific domains with a main focus on data-driven modeling approaches. The meeting will be fully interdisciplinary and will bring together researchers from a broad range of disciplines such as physics, mathematics, biology, epidemiology, human and veterinary medicine, computer science, information technologies and social sciences. Particular attention will be devoted to the following topics:

  • Agents movements and spatial spread
  • Implications of contact patterns and agents heterogeneity for transmission
  • Temporally evolving networks and dynamics of contagion
  • Contagion engineering
  • Interdependent contagion processes

The meeting will be one day long and will host around 15 contributed talks. Submissions will be evaluated and selected by the Program Committee members, based on the adherence with the theme of the satellite, originality and scientific soundness.

Abstracts are submitted via the EasyChair website. Authors who do not have an EasyChair account should sign up for an account (for identification purposes, make sure to use the same email address as the one used for the conference registration). Submissions are required to be at most one page long including the following informations: title of the talk, author(s), affiliation(s), e-mail address(es), abstract (text only). Papers are not accepted.

Once the selection process is complete, the authors of the accepted abstracts will be notified by e-mail (see the deadlines below). All meeting participants have to register for ECCS '12 here.
